On the sea front.
Everything old needs updating. Desk Clerk was scruffy. Couldn’t find our booking so gave us a spare room in the annex. No soft close doors so didn’t get to sleep until 4 am with people coming in and out. Breakfast was rushed, because there was not enough staff to cope with the amount of people. Juice, tea and coffee jugs dirty. Over all it was a very unpleasant stay and would not recommend.
I have stayed at this hotel before with an elderly relative, nothing was too much trouble. This time I had an few days on my own. Again nothing was too much trouble. A friendly greeting on arrival. Staff excellent, breakfasts superb, comfortable bed, clean throughout. The hotel is suitable for single travellers, couples, family's with children/babies and disabled guests. Situated up the quieter end it is in walking distance of the shops, beach, amusements, pier etc.and is opposite the waterways gardens with paths running through, and this time I had the pleasure of seeing a Heron, close up, looking for fish. Will definately visit again
Staff were very pleasant and really friendly, giving lots of help and advice. The hotel was quiet and peaceful, allowing you to have a conversation when in the bar. Breakfast was very good the staff would offer whatever combination of breakfast items you wanted.
Only issue the bathroom was a little small for two people. The down side to the resort .Listen up yarmouth council, why are there no theater's in yarmouth, people like to see a show and be enterained. While on a break.
Friendly staff from minute one! Damian (Bar Manager) payed attension to all of the guests needs without being over zelous. Rooms a little small but clean, tidy and newly decorated. Quiet area yet on the sea front and 5 mins from town centre and amusements. Can't go wrong! Thoroughly recommended.
Limited evening meals on offer but sister hotel has excellent restaurant just down the road.
The staff were so friendly, from the moment we arrived, they were helpful and polite. The breakfast was delicious and was a real pleasure to be served and not have a 'buffet style'. The 2 rooms we booked were newly decorated, on the small side, but very clean and suited our needs. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again if visiting the area.
The breakfast was lovely as was Graham, we were made to feel so welcome and not rushed or in the way.
The tea making facilities weren't great and i'm a true brit and love my tea! There was only enough sugar for one cup of tea and i'm pretty sure the milk was off, if this was rectified the stay would have been perfect.
Staff very polite and helpful; room was clean, warm and comfortable; excellent English breakfast.
It would have been nice to have had a bathroom with a bath, but I gather there are no baths, so description of 'ensuite bathroom is somewhat misleading. Tis, however, was cleared up by telephone before I arrived.
Nice bar and seating area with acts on four times per week.
My room was too small
The hotel was in an excellent position right opposite the sea.The staff and the management made you feel at home right from the start.Nothing was too much much trouble and all the staff went out of their way to help you with anything I wanted.Excellent hotel and excellent food.
The hotel was situated in an excellent position right opposite the beach. The town centre was only a two minute walk.My bedroom was brand new .The staff and the management were very good and made my stay very hospitable. There was a brand new patio restaurant over looking the beach.Very good hotel overall.
The staff were excellent. Was in a sea view room and the bedroom was brand new. They had a new patio sea view snack bar which was excellent. The breakfast was excellent. The best hotel in great yarmouth which I have stayed in.
Staff were mostly friendly and pleasant.
It was very dated, old and mis-matched furniture, room was very dirty, over priced and breakfast over cooked and not very nice. Bar prices very very high with prices I would expect to pay in a Hilton - £6 for 1 glass of wine and a fruit juice!
the room was freezing, the window was broken, the sink was at the bottom of the bed, the tv was from the 1980's, there was no quilt just itchy blankets, the staff were very rude about which doors to come in and out of the hotel through.
Good location- near main attractions.
The spare blanket was dirty - had stains and hairs on it. Shower was fallen off the wall. Very cold room . heating went off around 9pm when it was needest most. Was not told about breakfast times . all in all unpleasant stay.very over rated.
the best sea side hotel I have stayed in.The management and the staff were excellent. The breakfast was superb. The best of all was the bedroom. It was brand new with new furniture. The Thanks to all the staff amd management for making my stay very enjoyable.
